I don't say, have never said, that BMW has lost its way.
What I do say is that the only loyalty I owe is to a company that will make a quality, reliable car with features that I want. Whichever company does that best gets my business.
BMW's increasing sales suggests that it knows exactly what it is doing. Just not heading in a direction that I desire.
