Nothing new in that article. It summarizes what most of us in the "echo chamber" have been saying all along. I have especially been stating EV cost more to own in total inclusive costs and the payback doesn't start until after 80,000 to 100,000 miles, which is 5+ years of ownership. The Professor backs up what I have been saying for years on the Forum. I'm not a Doctorate-holding, Dept. Chair of anything, but I do understand automobile ownership costs. Maybe he's been reading my posts... Lol.

Honestly I wish Tesla the best. If you have to buy a EV that is IMO the best choice. I'm seeing more KIA EV's lately.
Seems to be a different customer as it is the younger students driving the Tesla's and the clueless soccer moms driving the KIA's.

Companies also patent all kinds of crap, which is the way of patent litigation, so they can use it in the future against someone else. A large % of it is not legit...but it's a chess-board of patents and strategy. It's not a conspiracy and it's not a mind-reading airpod. It's the way of the US patent system.
