e85 and map 7 g5 iso

what do you guys think?
should i run it or should i NOT?

i filled the tank up with 9 gallons of 93 and 7 gallons of e85, so about 43% e85.
i ran it on map 7 and HOLY difference between 40% e85 n map 5 fully adjusted!

with the same fuel combo i hit about 16-17psi on map 5, 18-19 on map 7.
i only did a few pulls on map 7 so far but it feels sooooo good. i have boost safe set up at 19.5. running ISO 20

Map 7 requires 100 octane at least if I'm correct. I'm not sure that e85 blend will get you there. I doubt the DME would let you knock due to your lower octane. Post logs of a map 7 run, I may try this out sometime.

I think for g5iso map7 and e85, you should run upgraded lpfp, bms/cobb flash and somewhere around e60. At least that is what my setup likes.

what blows my mind is that my friend with a few bolt ons kept up with me, i only got him by a fender

my mods: jb4 iso-20, vrsf 3" catless dps, full cpe exhaust (no cats), cyba scoops, bms dci, aa cp and bov, e40 and 93 on map 5.

his mods: vrsf 7" fmic, bms dci, iso-17 running 33% e85 and 93, no exhaust, no dps, and idk what kind of bov/cp he has. and he has over 100k miles.

If you have intake/dp's/intercooler and have e50 with 93 and no fueling issues/good afr, you should be just fine. Biggest issue is going to be fueling that much power on e85 without fuel pumps and the backend tables adjusted somehow.

Thanks, zeels car is very impressive and managed an 11.7 @ 123.9 mph. I'd imagine I am somehwere close to that, but I have yet to go to the track this season.

I'm wondering the exact same thing if I can run on map 7 but I fill right at a quarter tank 6.5 gallons E85 and about 6 gallons 93. Have not plugged it into the E85 calculator yet to find out exactly or close to what I'm really running....But I dont think it would hurt anything since the JB4 has so many failsafes its almost impossible for you to blow something up when using the JB4 G5 ISO.... I also have the BMS backend flash so I think map 7 should be fine but want to confirm with the community and Terry if I should even try it out or not...

Not true if colder temps below 70F are present. Zeel and I both dont run meth and with the upgraded walboro pump, bms flash, and e60 experiance no timing drops for such an aggressive map.

I will say this though, test the e85 stations you go to. There are some in our area that are really closer to e70. The one we go to is close to e85 as can be.

I ran map 7 with 70% E85 and meth and Map 3 still pulls much harder.

I did a dyno pull comparing Map 5 vs Map 7 with the e85 mixes.. Map 5 is better. Map 7 was about 20 or so less hp then Map 5.
