Question Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 Tires.

Was considering the Michelin PS2 tires for a 2007 335i sedan with sport package. Is there much of a difference in the regular PS2 versus run flat version in regards to performance and handling. Tried some winter tires earlier that where non run flat, and found them to be poor at highway speeds (micro vibrations and poor handling). Apparently, the regular PS2 already has a stiff sidewall, so don't know if the ZP version is really necessary. Anyone had experience with regular Michelin tires on these types of cars?

The stiffer sidewall of a RFT tire will give added turn-in over an identical (if that's possible) non-RFT tire. The ZP's do add turn-in over the standard PS2, but it's debatable if you'll need or notice the difference. Get the RFT / ZP if you want the peace of mind.

I've noticed the PS2 RFT's are getting much better reviews over the RE050's RFT's, search around. I was about to pick up the standard PS2's but might go for the runflats now.

I had the Bridgestone Runflats on my last 330 and I have the PS2 Runflats on my 09 E92. I think the PS2 Runflats are much better. Great handling and they aren't as loud - I'd go with them...

The concensus from most who have tried both is that the PS2 is a much better better tire.

PS2s have a soft sidewall. I have them on my Corvette and CaymanS. IMO they are very overpriced and I will replace them with something else.

I replaced my RFT's with PS2's.

The steering response isn't as good, but the ride is MUCH better and there seems to be less understeer.

If the roads near my home were smooth, I would have kept the RFT's; but they aren't. The RFT's hopped around on turns, the ride was terrible and my car was taking a beating. The PS2's are much better on all but the smoothest roads.
