Is a jb+ enough ?
Pretty coincidental me and my brother both got new cars within the same time period. I got 10' 335i and he got a 10' audi s4, but he pays about 100 dollars more a month than I do.
My question is: is the jb+ set at default and DCI enough for me to be faster than him ? I just ordered a jb+, and am very fond of the plug and play feature for such a small price (bought used on ebay for 150 shipped) |

With JB+ 50F ambient temps 13.0 at 110.1 mph 2.1 60' 0-60 4.6 sec 0-100: 10.8 sec 13.0 at 110.3 mph 2.1 60' 0-60 4.6 sec 0-100: 10.8 sec 60-130:14.8sec Stock: 55F (you can see the numbers are right on spec for a 335i) (1st gear launches) 13.5 at 105.2 mph 2.1 60' 0-60 5.0 sec 0-100 12.3 sec 13.4 at 105.7 mph 2.0 60' 0-60 4.9 sec 0-100 12.1 sec |

He's manual & im auto... and I am pretty sure a jb3 will easily take him. But would be awesome that a 150 dollar jb+ mod will triumph him and by the looks of those #s posted above looks like I have a strong solid chance since the s4 is about a 13.0 flat. Can't wait

Pretty curious if I will, saw some vids of jb+ keeping up or passing e39 m5s.
Drove and road in that car plenty of times and that thing is insanely fast, I can't see how I will want more, but who knows.... |

The JB+ is a great tune for power, price, and I had it for about 15k miles... but when JB3 2.0 came out I bought one.. and I am so glad I did.. the JB3 and JB+ is night and day... You will find the JB+ falls flat on it's face on the top end compared to JB3.. from a dig the JB+ pulls hard!

+1, i had JB+ for about 6000 miles, then couldn't hold any longer and bite the bullet of JB3. JB+ gives you the feel of a single turbo engine, either it doesn't pull at low rpm or power just comes in ~3k rpm and flat out ~5k rpm or after. JB3 runs a lot more smoother and very stock feel, less power jerk and 5k rpm after, power keeps coming in. also if you are planning on getting exhaust, i notice JB3 will quiet down the exhaust a bit which i like. i tried to put a full tank of 100 oct when i had JB+ @75%, it sure felt better but there's only as much JB+ can give you if you are running higher octane. after JB3 in map 3, a full tank of 100 oct, which is day and night compare with JB+ @75%. OP can try out the JB+ for a few months first, until to a point you need more within the 6 months period, you can always upgrade to JB3 from BMS

Do a 40mph roll. keep it second manual mode.. Dont heat soak or floor the car prior to racing so the car is cool. But you want the oil temps to be around 180*F or higher so you have full performance.
Let me know when its going down, i would love to see it, ill even give you a hand installing it. |

With a JB + you might have a chance to take him on a roll but highly doubt that you'll stack up to him off a dig and make sure by the time you get your chip he doesnt get the MTM which is giving him 430 whp
