AC Vent cleaning - Disaster

Hi Guys,

Today I decided to clean the AC vents in my F30 because when it's turned on, a bad smell comes out. I used a foam cleaner on the AC vents, but somehow the foam leaked into my iDrive DVD drive and controls. After a few minutes, the touch button screen started to automatically display different numbers, and the AC tuning wheel and heater lights turned on by themselves. I panicked and turned off the engine, but the iDrive screen remained on even after shutting down.

This has been covered before. The only 100% safe method of cleaning the coils is to inject cleaner into the drain tube in the driveshaft tunnel.
