F31 jacking points

I'm sure it's been covered before, but a bit confused having watched several YouTube vids.
I want to get the front of my F31 up on stands; online videos show a reinforced jacking point central under the front of the car, but having had a look, I can't see anything but plastic covers. I could of course jack it on the sill jacking points, but then where do I put the jack stands?

Post number 2 here: https://www.bimmerfest.com/threads/j...e-car.1365713/

That's the front jack point on the F3X range - use a puck between your trolley jack and that point and you're good to go...

You might find the cars too low to get your jack under; so small riser ramps like these, which are what I have, will be spot on:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Laser-5669-...22&sr=8-6&th=1

Rear jack point is the body of the diff itself; again use the rubber puck

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Hilka-82998...4&sr=1-29&th=1

Hope that helps

There's a metal jack point in the center just rear of where the soft splash guard splits. I have to get my jack almost completely under the car to reach it. There are jack stand points probably a foot or more rear of the front wheels. They hang down a bit and are made of hard plastic. They aren't meant to be used with claw type jackstands as they'll beat them up, unless you have adapters. Take a look and you'll see what I mean. There's a good chance they're already a bit mangled.

EDIT: Just saw the post above. Since you have xDrive, the front jack point won't look like the picture in the link (at least mine doesn't, 2014 F31). You'll see a small area of exposed metal.

The clearance at the front isn't much, is it? I've not had time to try it yet, but even with my low profile SGS jack, it looks like I won't be able to get it far enough under without a bit of additional lift.

Nope; my low clearance Sealey jack can't reach it, so I use those risers

My Halfords advanced low entry slides under my M Sport bumper, just. Standard ride height.

Mine has fibrous padding undertrays and I aim my jack at the little hole in the middle of said padding.

I've got this Draper jack:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Draper-3148...c-d11b6e3d217f

It still won't get to the central front jack point; I'm on Eibach pro kit springs; but they've not lowered the car that much...

Because minimal saddle height matters very little to access middle jacking point, its the clearance of entire jack that is important to get in, and 160mm clearance seems to be just enough to get in, what's clearance dimensions on this Draper jack? They look very similar.

It's about 160mm when I measured. But as said my F31 is lower than factory

It's not a biggy as I use those risers anyways. They make life a bit easier for seeing what you're doing under neath

Apologies if slightly off-topic, but I wanted to share in case it meets your needs:

Got you. If my F30 was about 15mm lower it would have been impossible to put jack under for this middle point, and I'd had to use something to lift it be it pieces of timber or ramps

They are good but ludicrous money for something a few bits of scrap wood can also achieve.
