Oil Level Sensor
I've noticed in the last 2 oil changes that my oil level no longer shows "Max" level. I always put 6.5 quarts and it always shows it at "Max" level and now it only shows this in the picture. I checked for leaks and I don't have any. The car doesn't burn oil. Does this mean the oil level sensor is about to go out? I currently have 72,000 miles on the car. It's an E92 N55.

Now the level got lower. It's now closer to the minimum level. I re-checked the engine for any leaks and I can't find any. I'm really suspecting the oil level sensor now. I'm surprised that no one else responded to see if they have experienced this and what solved their issue. I just want to know before I buy a new sensor.

The oil level is calculated by how fast the oil heats up. There are a lot of factors that can make it off by 0.25 qts. Not to mention most cars consume a quart between oil changes. I really think you are looking for problems.

Yeah i get you just changed the oil. Maybe it was wamer outside the first time you check and it read .025qt higher. Just replace the sensor since you are dead set on it being bad.
